ing, but you don't need (or want) to double-clutch on an upshift because it's not necessary. The revs don't drop that much on the upshift if you complete it quickly enough. Double-clutching is really only meant for downshifting. As for clutch wear, I have never noticed any additional wear due to dbl-clutching. In fact, you should see just the opposite since you're rev-matching as well. I'm still on my Z's original clutch at 75K miles, and when my RX-7 got stolen with 116K miles on it, I had only replaced the clutch once in that car's lifetime, at 86K miles. The only potential additional wear could possibly be in the clutch pedal mechanism and master cylinder, but I think we're talking minimal impact here, since you do the same with your brake system too.
